Lennox Randon edited the summary of Friends Dogs Bullets Lovers Wednesday, January 9, 2013.
Noah and Lee have been friends since they met as scrawny misfit ninth graders. Over fifteen years later, they live in Dubuque, Iowa, where Noah has become a police sergeant and Lee an EMT, but they haven’t lost their youthful sense of adventure or odd sense of humor.
While on a late-night walk with their dogs, Stroke and Thundarr, the friends come across two men burying a body. They manage to arrest the men only to find out they are actually professional hit men with ties to organized crime. Noah and Lee are forced to abandon their lives and enter the Federal Witness Protection Program. Accustomed to the action of their usual jobs, Noah and Lee find it difficult to adjust to the slower pace of their new lives in Austin, Texas, the city to which they’ve been relocated. Eventually they embark on new romantic relationships, and without telling their attractive but stern government handler, they start an under-the-radar private investigations business. After they resolve a few minor cases, one takes an unexpected turn when the children of an important government official are kidnapped.
What began as a lark has now become a matter of life and death.
