• After finding out her boyfriend cheated on her with her bestfriend's cousin, Kelly Carter travels back to her past to Kettlesburg Texas. Forced to date again, she meets Jordan and learns the hard way what it's like to date someone that lives on the other side of the tracks. Not only is he an African American, he doesn't have a high school, and lost his parents at an early age. Now a statistic, Jordan was never taught the steps to success. After Jordan and Kelly's friendship develops into an unplanned love affair, they are faced with more than just being a part of two different worlds.
