Michael Connelly is my favorite mystery writer so when his books are published, I never read reviews or the inside flaps or the back cover. I don't want to know anything that's going to happen! That may be why this is my favorite Connelly book. I never saw any of the plot coming ahead of time and was overwhelmed by how clever it all was. AVOID THE MOVIE AT ALL COSTS. The script played fast and loose with the plot and the characters. The book has much more twists and surprises.
