Aidan uses the events from Austen's classic tale, plus current events of the era and other possible circumstances to construct Darcy's character, motives, and gradual transformation into a man worthy to be called a true Gentleman. Religious overtones. Book Three of three. Ends a little abruptly. I think Aidan left too much of the story for the last book.”

I really liked seeing his side and how things "might " have transpired with Darcy and Wicham... Great fun to read. Miss Darcy is not the mat the we see her in the Austen novel and the Bingley sisters are just as bad or more so.”

There were one or two pages that I skimmed a little just because I got a tiny bit tired of Darcy's pining for Elizabeth, but overall I loved it. The author's attention to detail and the insight into Darcy's character make this a great read! I love it when I can't wait to go to bed because I love the book I'm reading!”

Unfortunately, I felt like the book's conclusion was too hasty. Darcy and Elizabeth's final reunion had nothing new to it, and I wanted to savor the happy ending much more than the author allowed me to. Still worth a read, but I was glad that I got it from the library.”
