“This series made me adore Darcy even more...didn't know that was possible. I found myself actually amused by Darcy's inner turmoil and his actions, like the threads he stole and how he misinterpreted everything Elizabeth did. I was literally laughing out loud when he thought Elizabeth meant for him to meet her on her walks when we know that she told him it was her favorite walk so that they may avoid each other. But at the same time, I was also so depressed after she turned down his proposal. I hadn't realized how difficult it would be to read from Darcy's perspective about his rejection. Really wish there was more of this.”
“Loved these books especially this last one”
“So far, I'm finding this the best of the "sequel" attempts for Jane Austen. It is modern, but in the style of Austen. I like the understanding it gives me of Darcy's actions. The movie really helped me understand him, but this illuminates his feelings. I love that most of his stiffness and reserve come from the fact that he is overwhelmed by his feelings for her.”
