“Broken, scarred football player living in fear and constant beating, by his father, is saved by the also broken, shy and timid Callie when she steps in one fateful night. I love how both characters were broken in their own way so they were able to lean on each other and have a stronger connection on a real level and not just a physical one. With their intense intro, light flirting and hanging out to the full on make out sessions, fun dialogue with their best friends Luke and Seth! And the ending!!!! Never loved a cliffhanger before but.... wow! Can't wait til Redemption!”

“It was okay, I found it difficult to get into at first, the chemistry between the two at first seems a bit fabricated. Once into it, its easy to get into their relationship and the cliff hanger at the end is annoying.”

Such a cliff hanger! And of course it would end on a such a note where the book is forced to stay with you until a proper end is written. I can only wait for the next one!”

“This book is a good example why a reader has to read some reviews before reading. This is a very emotional and poignant novel on two very wounded people falling for each other during their freshman year in college. Together with two of their best friends they dealt with devastating issues such as molestation; child abuse, and homophobia. But this book is not always a downer because it also focuses on the budding romance between Callie and Kayden whose fate were intertwined when Callie saved Kayden's life before they graduated in high school. Callie was skittish and wary of any contact with guys. But Kayden is the perfect boy friend for her as he patiently woos and saves her. I have to give this book 5 stars because this book stayed with me even after I finished reading it. The ending was devastating especially because the sequel won't be published until next year. ”
