• Left Behind is about the events that happen in "Revelations" in the new testament. It covers the rapture of the church(which is just a fancy way of saying when God takes all of the people who have been good to his word and lived their life for him to heaven to be by his side), and how the ones who are left behind deal with the fact that relatives and loved ones and aquaintences have just disappeared from the face of the earth, leaving behind their clothes they were wearing and any jewelry...etc, with no clues as to what happened to them. It starts with a pilot flying a commercial airplane filled with a couple hundred passengers. His name is Rayford and he is married for many years, and has 2 children. A daughter who is in college and a son who is still only in elementary school. He's sitting in the cockpit thinking about a stewardess that he's flying with. They have known each other for a couple of years working for the same airline. She's very attractive, and he thinks he has noticed her flirting with him occasionally. They have had dinner together a few times, only as co workers, in far away cities where they have had to spend the night after flying so far from home. He is thinking of asking her out on a date, even though he is married, since they will be staying in another city that night. Just as he hears someone approaching the cockpit door, and he's getting up the nerve to ask her, frantic pounding starts at the door. He opens it to see her there, but she's pale and has a frightened look on her face. She starts jibberishly explaining that there are people missing from the plane. About a hundred people. He tries to calm her down and has her tell him again whats wrong. Then he cant believe it and has to see for himself. He goes out into the passenger area and finds people that are sitting next to empty seats throughout the plane. Astonished, confused, and some crying, but none knows what just happened. In the first seat he checks is the clothes a young girl of 14 were wearing, including a locket style necklace that her father was clutching as he cried in despair. Next was a businessman, looking in disbelief as the two seats next to him were abandoned, again with nothing left but the clothes that both of his parents were wearing. He turned to the pilot and asked what just happened. The pilot grabbed the clothes and searched, finding the man's wallet, proving that he truly was there, and was the father of the man confused in front of him. Then over the cabin announcement system came a request for the pilot to return to the cockpit of the plane. When he returned, the co-pilot was frantic about what he had been hearing on the radio. The plane was requested to re-route and land immediately. Chaos was everywhere down on the ground. Things were out of control. Traffic jams, schools closing, police and fire departments reporting vast amounts of the public, and their own employees missing in action, as if they just evaporated into thin air. Traffic stopped everywhere as cab drivers, bus drivers, vehicles everywhere crashed into whatever there was in front of them as their operators suddenly disappeared. Freeways and Interstates jammed with drivers wanting to get off but cant due to the majority of the vehicles being what looked like abandoned, in the way, with towing companies shorthanded as some of their drivers missing too! Reports of cargo ships, river barges, even other airplanes crashing as suddenly there was no one in charge of them. That's when the fear hit Rayford. He grabbed his cell phone and dialed his wife. Three rings, four rings, five rings...no answer. Finally voicemail where he left a message, trying not to sound in a panic, asking her to call him immediately. Next he called his daughter in college in California. No answer. Then other crew members came to the cockpit telling him they were unable to reach some of their families, but some they did. The ones that answered told them of others in their families missing. It seemed as if aliens had come and taken away a wave of people from earth in a plan to take over our world. Rayford and Cameron "Buck" Williams, who had been on Rayford's plane, launch a frantic search for the truth. Rayford and Buck meet up soon with Rayford's daughter Chloe and their Pastor Bruce. They all soon find outout, after a lot of researching and challanges, that the people have been "raptured.""raptured." They also discover that there is something called Tribulation, in which God will be judging for seven years. They for a group called the "Tribulation Force," and they show people the truth in what has happened.

• this book was a very good short story. It was a book about the rapture with three main characters. One of the boys believed in god and the other two boys did not. When the world pretty much ended the two boys that didnt believe stayed on earth with a long and hard life. And the believer was the only one who got to go to heavon.
