Part 3 of the Just One Night series. One wild night in a Vegas hotel changed everything for Kasie. Sleeping with a powerful, sexy stranger made her rethink her impending marriage, and a whole lot more.
As her affair threatens her job and the sexy billionaire Robert Dade becomes more controlling, Kasie has to figure out if her passion is leading her down a path she really wants. She’s seduced by his gifts of power, success, and adventure, she’s overwhelmed by what he can make her feel with a single touch, the way he can make her ache for him with just a look. But is the cost of absolute power and pleasure a price Kasie can afford? And does she truly know this man who says he can give her everything…or is he still a stranger after all?
I have to admit that I found the beginning of this book disturbing. Kasie was so caught up in the world of power that Robert Dade had created that she didn’t care who she hurt. I guess you could say she was seduced by the power...making her and the other characters in this story very unlikeable, including Mr. Dade. Now, I have to say even though I had those issues with this story, I was still glued to the pages wishing a light at the end of the tunnel...and what do you know Kyra Davis gave us one. With insurmountable power plays she found a way to redeem our characters and bring the story full circle... Yes, it shocked the heck out of me and even though I didn’t like the direction/life paths that the characters chose this plot sucked me in.
Can you tell I struggled with my review of this book...
In the end, Binding Agreement was a riveting addition to the Just One Night series. Although it took me out of my comfort zone and I didn’t think the ending I was hoping for would even be a possibility, Davis pulled it off. I have to give 4 ½ stars for Kyra Davis’s ability to write dislikable characters that still had me routing for a the happily ever after ending.
This ARC copy of Binding Agreement was given to me by Pocket Star in exchange for a honest review. This book is set for publication May 20, 2013.”
