  “I read and loved this book when I was between nine and twelve (haven't had time for a reread since). Sam is such an interesting narrator and I was fascinated by his account of living off the land. I thought that I would not like the end as he was being discovered and all that but what the end turned out to be was the best that could possibly happen!”
