“Even though I hadn't read this book for many years, I found that much of the text was familiar to me. This book reminds me of Mom; it was one of her favorites. I love the story of Elnora, the old-fashioned writing, the wholesomeness of the story. It was a great trip back in time.”

“This was a good book. It had a lot of interesting human interactions in it. The storyline, however, seemed to zig-zag all over the place.”

“23 Hybrid of Anne of Green Gables and Swiss Family Robinson. It's a very flowery, moral love story with a lot of emphasis on the beauties of nature and the importance of good character. A little on the sweet side but not bad for what it is.”
