• Casey Elder: Famous Country & Western singer who recently moved to Parable and lives in Kendra's old mansion. She has two children, Shane and Clare. She has red hair and green eyes.
• Shane Elder: Casey's 13-year old son
• Clare Elder: Casey's 14-year old daughter
• Brylee Parrish: Walker's younger sister who was jilted at the altar by Hutch Carmody about two years ago. She now runs Décor Galore, a direct marketing company specializing mostly in home parties and online sales. She has long dark hair and hazel eyes.
• Tara Kendall: Owner of a former chicken farm she recently purchased after moving to Parable from New York. Best friends with Joslyn and Kendra. She's divorced with twin stepdaughters and has long dark hair and blue eyes. Marrying Boone.
• Boone Taylor: Sheriff of Parable Montana. His wife, Corrie, died a few years ago and he sent his sons Griffin and Fletcher to stay with his sister temporarily but it ended up being years. they're living with him now and he's marrying Tara.
• Griffin (Griff) Taylor: Boone's oldest son who is 8-years old
• Fletcher Taylor: Boone's youngest son who is 6-years old
• Elle Lennox: Tara's stepdaughter from her first marriage. She's her legal guardian as well as her twin sister, Erin.
• Erin Lennox: Tara's stepdaughter from her first marriage. She's her legal guardian as well as her twin sister, Elle.
• Kendra Carmody: Owner of a real estate company, adopted mother of Madison and recently had a new baby girl, Shannon. She has pale blond hair and blue eyes. Married to Hutch.
• Hutch Carmody: Rancher, owner of Whisper Creek Ranch, Slade's half-brother. He has dark blonde hair and blue green eyes. He's married to Kendra and father to two daughters, Madison who calls him "Cowboy Man," and baby Shannon. One of Boone's best friends.
• Joslyn Barlow: Slade's wife, Kendra's partner (as well as childhood friend). Married to Slade and is very pregnant. Stepmother to daughter Shea Tarrington and mother to son Trace.
• Slade Barlow: Former sheriff of Parable, with a step-daughter; illegitimate son of John Carmody and now a rancher, was willed half of his biological father's estate. He's tall with dark hair and blue eyes.Hutch's half brother and owner of the Windfall Ranch. Married to Joslyn, father of daughter Shea Tarrington and son Trace. One of Boone's best friends.
• Opal Dennison: Live-in housekeeper for the Barlows, helped raise and is engaged to Walter.
• Walter Beaumont: Minister, Opal's fiancé.
• Marti Wren: Runs the animal shelter.
• Dawson McCullough: Boy who fell from the water tower a few months ago. He's confined to a wheel chair because of damage to his spine. He used to work at Walker's ranch.
• Patsy McCullough: Dawson's mother who is dating Treat.
• Al Pickens: Walker's foreman
• Mitch Wilcox: Casey's manager
• Doris: Casey's cook and housekeeper
