The quintessential fairy tale! Rich with metaphor, descriptive text, satire, and happy endings. This is truly a work of genius for more than just fanciful children.

Didn’t Like It

I read The Neverending Story after seeing the movie, and was surprised at how the book continued after the movie ended. In many ways, the book is much darker than the movie, both in its tone and in what the storyline implies.

A young boy named Bastian, living unhappily with his father after the death of his mother, comes across a book called “The Neverending Story.” And while the book starts off as a work of fiction, the story of Atreyu and the Childlike Empress draws Bastian...
