“Callum, prince to the werewolves, was instinctually drawn to the woods. He doesn’t have a clue what brought him there but there is a strong pull to protect. He is shot by hunters that are hot on his trail when he runs into a small female child. This child literally protects him from the hunter by putting herself in the line of fire and hugs the injured wolf.
That same night Callum discovers his life mate is this small human girl and that her parents have been killed. Under the guidance of his father, he allows Sonia Arlington to be put into a guardianship until she is old enough to be his mate.
Sonia Arlington has special gifts that she has been hiding her entire life. She can see in the dark, hear better than any human and her sense of smell rivals any supernatural being. Even her guardians don’t know of her gifts which has made Sonia's life lonely...she can never truly be herself.
Someone leaks that Sonia is Callum’s mate and her life is at risk. Callum must now claim Sonia before he was ready or he has time to prepare Sonia.
This is again, another incredible story by Kristen Ashley. She pushes every emotional button while sucking you deep into this paranormal world. Sonia faces everything that comes her way with strength and courage. Callum, well he is clueless in the ways of a human female and you kind of feel sorry for his inability to see what is happening right in front of him...making the transition for Sonia and Callum a wonderful adventure to follow. The only problem with reading this book is what I call the Kristen Ashley “Syndrome” – what the heck do I read after this...”
