“In Kindred, we pick up where the first novella left off as Dasheen is focused on saving her brother from the band of rogue vampires in her school. What initially seems to be a simple rescue effort becomes much more as Dasheen learns of her true history and the fact that the future of the world for both humans and vampires is in the balance. Talk about no pressure. Through her search to understand where she came from, Dasheen learns the secret behind her connection with Rafael as well as what happened to her parents.

Written in the same style as the first novella, we’re introduced to the different character’s points of view and history which adds to the scope and depth of the overall story. I’m eagerly waiting for the third and final portion to be published to find out what happens to Dasheen, Elin, Ismet, and Rafael. (Let’s face it, Bella Donna’s a … well, you get the idea.:))”
