I think this is the first actual book I ever read. It's still a timeless classic, and the story now is as heartwarming as it was years and years ago. In case you haven't read it yet (or seen the movie previews), it's about a pig named Wilbur, a spider named Charlotte, and a girl named Fern. A new reality is created as the reader looks into their lives and watches these characters and all the other animals on the farm mingle and play -- a fantasy known only to Fern (and not other humans).
