This will ALWAYS be one of my favorite books of all time. It is not necessarily "Exciting", but very extremely touching. Even though it is about animals, the friendship never dies. I did cry when Charlotte died because she had basically spent her whole life helping save Wilbur's life. And who would ever think that something as small as a spider can end up saving a pig's life?!?!?!

After watching the movie on cable last weekend, i am going to find the book and read the story to my 3 years old son.

I have NEVER read this story and was only exposed to it when i saw the movie, it was very touching....and when the spider die, i cried. Miracle do happen in the simplest way, many times, you missed it without realising it.
