- Wilbur: One early spring morning Wilbur was born. He, the runt of the family was about to be killed, when Fern, the farmer's daughter plucked him out of the jaws of death. Wilbur is a friendly little pig and will do anything to have a friend when he moves to Fern's uncle's farm. There he meets Charlottle. Charlotte the spider.
