What woman hasn't wanted to chuck it all and live life differently? Choices come at a price as the main character learns, but she grows from the experience no matter what the outcome. I read this in college and now these 25 years later I still think of the story.

Didn’t Like It

Definitely not my style. I didn't feel attached to the characters at all. Feeling this way makes me feel somewhat shallow, seeing that this book is considered a classic by some, but I really didn't get into it and felt that Edna was selfish. I really don't like this idea that "finding oneself" makes adultery and neglect of children and duties, among other wrongs, okay. I'm not saying she should be a passive wife, with no thought for herself, but other avenues could be explored. In the...
