  • Dr. James Mortimer: family doctor and a friend of Sir Charles.he stays in devonshire.he believes in the legend of the hound of baskervilles.he was the person who met sherlock holmes and tellshim all the truth and requests him to solve the case.
  • Sir Henry Baskerville: The last descendant of baskerville family.he becomes the heir of the baskerville fortune after the death of sir charles.
  • Sir Hugo Baskerville: the ancestor of the baskerville family.he was the one to set loose the hound of baskervilles.he was found dead in the yew alley.
  • John Stapleton: he was actually the son of rodger baskerville, cousin of sir charles.he plays the role of a villian.he wanted to heir the baskerville fortune.so he murdered sircharles and tried to murder sir henry.he has done many crimes in his life.he slips his leg in the mire and die.
  • Miss Stapleton: a spanish lady.she was actually the wife of stapleton who pretends to be a sister.he loves his husband very much but doesnt like his evil plans.so she tries to warn sir henry by means of a letter.
