Aaron Ridgeway, Director of Apple’s Security Division, spends most of his time suppressing leaks about iterations of the same old products.

It's not amazing.

Neither is Apple. Not anymore. Under pressure from dividend-hungry shareholders and a never ending plague of intellectual... read more

Characters/People edit see section history

  • Aaron Ridgeway, Director, Apple Security Division: Ridgeway served with distinction as a clandestine operative in scary, filthy, dark places. Then it all went wrong. Abandoned by his country, he was hired by Apple to ensure their internal security - a job he finds little meaning in but is quite good at.
  • Tim Cook, Chief Executive Officer: Quiet, calculating, he's a ruthless optimizer and built Apple's amazing supply chain from scratch. Cook lives and breaths Apple, but he's can't maintain perspective as the company struggles with intellectual property battles, activist shareholders, a struggling economy, and trouble in China.
  • Scott Forstall, (Former) Senior Vice President, iPhone Software: Many thought of him as the CEO-in-waiting. More thought of Forstall as abrasive. He shares Jobs' attention to detail and abrasive personality but lacks the maturity to get things done. Forstall has been responsible for some of Apple's greatest successes (iOS 5) but also failures (Apple Maps). Some say his dismissal could be his time to grow into his own, like Jobs at NeXT. More aren't so sure.
  • Jonathan "Jony" Ive, Senior Vice President, Industrial Design: Probably the world's best industrial designer, Ive is the company's greatest asset. Every machine of modern day Apple springs from his mind. Lately, he has turned his attention to the Apple supply chain and manufacturing processes. His love of art is matched only by his agnostic attitude towards business operations. He's the heart to Cook's brain. Unfortunately, that heart is breaking.
  • James Murdoch, Board Member: Losing a war of succession with his siblings, the youngest heir to the Murdoch empire was sent in exile to serve on Apple's board, a seat the family acquired through their purchase of Disney.
  • John Gruber, Board Member: The man who runs the Daring Fireball blog was selected by private equity funds because of his network of Apple informants and his consistent scoops.
  • Barry Silbert, Board Member: The entrepreneur behind Second, Third, and Fourth Markets was selected by Cook for his knowledge of progressively grey market financial strategies.
  • Albert Gore Jr., Board Member: The aging former Vice President still sits on the board. It's his final tether to power.
  • Andrea Jung, Board Member: The former CEO of Avon retains her seat as a favor to Tim Cook.
  • Ronald D. Sugar, Ph. D., Board Member: The former Chairman of Northrop Grumman retains his seat despite his Alzheimers, occasionally sharing his memories of Jobs.
  • Millard Drexler, Board Member: The former CEO of J. Crew retains his seat as a favor to Tim Cook.
  • Timothy Geithner: Add a description of this character.
  • Jan Chipchase
  • Jeff Bezos
  • David Petraeus
