Becky Davis takes leave from the team after the events of "Ninja Werewolf Assassins!" She goes to Florida to visit her sister, Amanda, who argues with her about the classified and apparently dangerous nature of her work. Davis refuses to tell Amanda what it is that she does, causing friction. Soon enough, Davis hears about a shark attack in which the shark apparently spit fire at its victims. She is soon joined by Harper and Rhymes, the only available members of the team, and they encounter the Hellshark, which nearly kills Davis and Harper and succeeds in killing a boat full of police officers.

Raising the stakes, Harper calls in a US Navy submarine to help them out. Unfortunately, Weirdo Company aren't the only ones hunting the hellshark - A team of mercenaries from the company that made it want it back. Davis and Harper board and commandeer their yacht while the shark attacks a nearby boat race, and the battle is on to figure out how to destroy a creature that seems immune to all their weapons. After finally defeating the shark, Davis decides she must continue her work with Weirdo Company and heads back with the team, leaving her sister worried about her safety.
