“One of the most delightful social comedies ever written, “A Room With a View” is arch, playful, romantic, with wonderful characters and Tuscany, to boot. Forster’s inner hippie is given free reign as young Lucy Honeychurch learns to follow her bliss. “It happened to the Goths.”

“This is fabulous writing by a master of literature. His words flow like water.”

It's the perfect Edwardian romantic comedy! It's all that and makes julienne fries! Lucy Honeychurch is probably the most endearingly muddled of Forster's heroines, trying to figure out who she and what she wants in an age when few were concerned about women figuring out either one of those quandaries. One of these days I intend to reread this on a hill in Tuscany the way it should be read, but as is, still one of my favorites.”

I may reread it to see if I get more out of it on the second read.”
