  “The Winter family has been torn apart, attacked, kidnapped and used as pawns in a tug-of-war between two evil scientists. Through all of this, Alik is now going through a huge change, coming into more powers and seriously growing up! More metahumans have been rescued and have joined in their cause and their 'family.'
  
  Each book has topped the last one and this is no exception! It is 'more mature' and darker than previous books. Each character has 'their day' and we see different views of simultaneous action! I especially loved how Karen Luellen pulled this off, making every character come alive!
  
  And, AGAIN with the cliffhanger at the end at a point when I didn't know whether to cry or rant for these great kids!”
