“Summary: This story is the novel following “Wicked”. It talks about other characters than the witches living in OZ. The story is related directly to “The Wizard of Oz” as well as “Wicked.Reason Chosen: I chose this story because I enjoyed the one written before as well as this novel. It is a great story and as long as you enjoy the classic “Wizard of OZ” you will enjoy reading the novels written about the characters in their younger years.Use in Classroom: I would use this book in my classroom as a read aloud book. I believe it would be a perfect follow up after reading the story “Wicked” to your class. The children will love the second version of the book you read to them before. Also you can do a lot more project about the different characters.”
“What ever happened to Nor?? I know Liir thought he recognised the writing on the wall as hers...but we never find out! Wonder what happened to her!”

“This sequel to "Wicked" was just as good as the first book. After Dorothy accidentally kills Elpheba "Lir" becomes orphaned and taken in by the sisters at the Mauntery. The story picks up with Lir being attacked and left for dead. Candle nurses him back to health, and helps him to go on and fufill his destiny as the "Son of A Witch".”
