It is evident that Ms. Leon has lived in Venice for many years. Her mystery tale is woven with the sights and smells of that great city. Her hero, Commissario Brunetti, is an agreeable Italian policeman with a strong appreciation for his family, good food and drink, and justice. A light, enjoyable read, particularly if you like Italy and all things Italian.

I love this series too. Since reading my first a few months ago, I've been steadily reading my way through them all. I'm almost finished, which makes me very sad - I nnd to discover a new writer who makes me want to read every book they've written too!
