I borrowed this book from a friend who borrowed it from our English teacher. It will eventually get back to her. While I have though, I will probably read over it again, which is saying quite a bit for me. No matter how good a book it is, I usually do not read it more than once.
I enjoyed Middlesex mostly because it went through generations of a family, transitioning from time periods brilliantly. Though incest is obvioulsy not a good thing, I couldn't help but root for Desdemona and...

Didn’t Like It

Didn't hold my attention as some books do, but it is well written and tells the story of a time and place. I'm writing this a while after I read it (a year?) and truth to tell, I can't even remember what eventually happens in the story.

    I'm on page 74 of this 529 page epic, which won a Pulitzer Prize in 2003 for fiction. It's the kind of book you can pick up and put down because it goes on forever, just like life. Haven't gotten to anything yet that grips me.
