Mr. Adams, Esq. edited the summary of The Killer Angels Tuesday, September 20, 2011.

    • The Battle of Gettysburg is widely believed to be the point in America’s Civil War where the tide turned in favor of the Union. In this fictional retelling each day of the battle is recounted using first-hand perspectives of various commanders from each of the two opposing forces, including the Confederates Robert E. Lee and James Longstreet, and Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain and John Buford for the Union. However, in addition to the specific battle decisions and strategies employed by the characters, and the inevitable bloody results, Sharra uses the thoughts and memories of the participants to delve deeper into and investigate the background, causes, and motivations that brought on the terrible war that would pit brother against brother and leave over 600,000 dead.
