In the fourth Mitford book, Father Tim and Cynthia have to deal with Father Tim's impending retirement and what that means for their future, along with a strange mayoral race, all kinds of real estate deals, and the continued rescuing of strays (people, not animals).
I love the way the people in Mitford pitch in for each other and the way Father Tim, Cynthia, and many of their friends minister to people around them in difficult situations.
The articles from the local newspaper are hysterical - small-town activities reported with all kinds of typos and grammar errors become very funny stories.”
“love it”
