  “This was a cute, easy read with practical and fun ideas. While the exact ideas may not work due to location, they help a person look locally for hidden gems. The outreach and "love projects" were very nice.”

  “Having taken a "staycation" before myself, I was very impressed with Erica's ideas in this book. Without revealing too much, the book provides a great way to organize family activities to include everyone in the family. Certainly, Erica's family has access to some wonderful destinations by virtue of their location, most of us have access to lots of wonderful local destinations that we rarely consider when trying to come up with things to do. This book helps families become more intentional about their activities and entertainment locally that quite possibly could foster community growth.
  
  Besides the beautiful writing which makes the pages come alive like a scrapbook, the single most impressive part of the book is how her whole family works to give back to their community. Some if her suggestions were so simple, it boggles my mind that I never thought of it, like bringing brownies to the local fire department. Truly if everyone modeled Erica's family's behavior, the world would be a better place.”
