“Wow that was a horrible movie. The book is much better, the story flows and in trademark Sparks style, gets the tears flowing. The movie however, was really stilted and the characters seemed really awkward with eachother. It was so cheesy in parts that I found myself cringing as I watched it. I never thought the movies did justice to The Notebook and A Walk to Remember, but the Nights in Rodanthe movie is definitely the worst of the bunch.”
“I enjoyed this book but hated the movie! ”
“I enjoyed the book, but was somewhat disappointed in the movie. Richard Gere and Diane Lane were perfect for the movie, but it seemed the producers of the movie must have had to edit a lot of material as it seemed choppy. Seemed like some parts were missing. The book is just way better. Easy read and be sure to have Kleenex nearby!”
“I really liked this book. I felt it was a "typical" Nicholas Sparks. I did not, however, like the movie. I would really recommend the book.”
“I have read Nicholas Sparks "The Notebook" and I have seen The Notebook and A Walk to Remember. I absolutely love everything about Nicholas Sparks pieces. I've found myself wanting to read his other books, but never really gotten around to it. Some people aren't too into the "sappy" stories, but I love them and I think that may be why I enjoy Nicholas Sparks so much. Usually people enjoy the book more than the movie, but I 100% liked The Notebook movie better than The Notebook book. As you all know, Nights in Rodanthe has recently came out in theaters. I have seriously been contemplating on whether to read the book or watch the movie first. I have heard that both are absolutely amazing, but that doesn't help any. I typically enjoying reading a book first, but I don't know if that's the right idea in this case. So, for anyone who has read and seen the movie, or just read it, or just seen the movie, what's your advice?”
