Okay, so it took me a long time to get through this book. I'm not sure when I started it, but definitely years. It does get bogged down by details, but at the same time it's the details that make it interesting in the end. I finally had time to plow through the last several hundred pages during my vacation. I am looking forward to reading the final book the in Earth's Children series.

I was GREATLY dissapointed in this book....after waiting soooo long for another it was really a huge dissapointment. I didn't like it at all. But, I would read another just to give one of my favorite authors the benefit of the doubt.
