“Ingrid, her sister, Gabby, and their mother are forced to leave London. So they make their way to Paris. There they will meet up with Grayson. He and Ingrid are twins. Only when the family arrives they discover that Grayson has gone missing. Ingrid is on a mission to find Grayson.
I was attracted to this book by the beautiful book cover. Usually I do not let a book cover dictate whether I read a book or not but in this case I could not help it. So I was excited to dive right into this book. Sadly, I only got about chapter nine and gave up on this book. Not for a lack of trying as I wanted so much to like this book. I just could not get into the characters. Also I found that the story was boring and moved slow. In fact there were a few times that I had to go back and re-read parts because my attention had wandered.
On the positive side, I did like the gargoyles and how the author portrayed them as dark and human like versus just creatures with no depth or personality.
