its so tough for a simple and plain looking girl to find an identity of her own. She was never loved by anyone and neither did she care, but for her man. Why do we all find it so hard to tell the one we love about our feeling?

Rebecca by Daphne du Maurrier is a strange book...it is perhaps the ultimate romance of the century...but it is a strange book. it's a book about a young girl who falls in love and marries an older guy....and its a story about the guys first wife who's now dead!

Through and through this book...you are on the tenterhooks just wondering what might happen next. Unfortunately the entire suspense genre of english literature has been more than diluted by the pulp fictions and 'romantic' writers...

Rebecca is a must read...if only to know what suspence can be....if only to know how the sheer skill of a writer can manipulate the thoughts and emotions of the readers....and how the use of words can change an ordinary storyline to a masterpiece!
