Lost City is one of the better Kurt Austin novels. It moves at a fast pace and has a good amount of action in it for a Cussler book. It is fairly creative and has a well researched plot. Lost City is a great book to read as a gettaway/escape novel.

Bill loved it, I had trouble following some of the twists and turns of the plot, guess I wasn't really listening part of the time.

I like the scene near the end, when Kurt keeps looking at his watch, until Madame Fauchard can't take it any longer. Want to annoy someone? Ignore them.

Kurt Austen is not Dirk Pitt. That being said, this is a fun book. Some cool underwater scenes. I would have appreciated a different title. Lost City makes you think this is going to be another Atlantis novel or something, it isn't.

The usual Cussler novel, full of action, really bad bad guys, and really good good guys. The plot has some good twists and even though I know the good guys will win in the end it's fun watching how they do it.

A thriller. A lost city is found under the Atlantic Ocean. There is a growth of a smothering fungus that is taking over the oceans and threatens the survival of species including humans. Also man is found frozen in the ice in a glacier with an unusual helmet and a strongbox. Mayhem continues and Kurt Austin of NUMA must figure our what's up. Another Cussler success

Lost City ,from Clive Cussler, is one of those books that you read after you have read a historical book that you have to put a great deal of thought in. Lost City is a very good adventure that you do not have to beat your brains out to enjoy. You just sit back open the book and let it take you away. I have read other of Cusslers books and I always walk away from them feeling like I have just been entertained with a good story that I have really enjoyed.

This is a Paul Austin novel and follows the formula of other Austin/Pitt novels: several events scattered over time, evil villains intent on gaining power and Austin/Pitt to the rescue. Even so, I really enjoy the Austin and Pitt characters and I enjoy having fiction like this to read so I can disengage my brain for a little while.
