    Wow! If you liked Midnight, I think you will love this book. But be warned, it starts much slower and is a bit more sutle through and through, and yes, you should read the Aspern Papers first. But then Henry James is a treat, so that isn't a sacrifice, in fact maybe you should read Washington Square while you are at it:)
