A feminine lawyer named Samantha Sweeting was being sabotaged by one of her trusted companion in her office. She was about to become a partner of the company and that's her dream of her working life. Unfortunately, things went wrong and she was appalled by what happened that she ran away from New York to a place where she was mistaken as a housekeeper when she needed a place to stay. The owner of the house, Mr and Mrs Geiger, hired her as a housekeeper for their house. Things always went wrong whenever Samantha tried to do something - she did not know how to cook, do the laundry, etc. She did not have the heart to tell her employers about her troubles as they trusted her to do her jobs perfectly and they have been so kind to her. So, she met a gardener named Nathaniel who is also working with Mr and Mrs Geiger. He's really helpful and he offered to help Samantha with her problems. So he get the help of his mother to teach everything the Samantha needed to know. As time passed by, Samantha fell in love with Nathaniel. Everything was perfect until she discovered that Nathaniel doesn't like lawyers because his father was once being fooled by a lawyer until he had a heart attack and he died. At the same time, Samantha discovered that her companion sabotaged her and she could get her job back as a lawyer if she had the respected evidence. It turns out that Samantha proved to her company that she was not wrong and they offered the partnership job to her once again. The problem now was she have to choose whether she wanted her job back or remained in the unknown city and be with Nathaniel. Her life was full of complications.

OK so it's a chick lit thing, but it really works! The storyline really makes you think about your own life and whether you have what you want... and just when you think everything's coming to a close, there's one last twist. Loved it!
