I found the main character irritating, the writing choppy, and no real cohesive plot. This writer seems sophomoric at best, and could use a good editor.

This was an unusual book. Not one of my favorites and yet the story keeps coming back to me. The turns it took surprised me. I bought it because one of the things I want to do before I die is see the Northern Lights. I'd hoped they would play a bigger part in the story.
