“not really a review. I just want to say, i love Orson Scott Card's work; particularly the way he writes series; this is the second series wherein i read the last book first because it was the first one i got my hands on. each book stands well enough on its own but makes you want to know about the history.. so i'm definitely hunting down the homecoming series;I'm not a fan of science fiction or fantasy but i loved ender's game (the entire ender and shadow series) and this book because Card's focus is the character or the philosophy behind the story. and that's what sells for me..just a comment: this book kind of parallel's children of the mind in its style and concept: i.e. the book is set in the time wherein the three sentient species (two of which have derogatory names and 'proper' names) are trying to learn to live together in harmony”
