“Using the book of Hosea to inspire her, Rivers rewrites this beautiful love story in a way that will cause this to be one of your favorites!
It is her best work by far!”
“This is the second time I have read this book and it was just as great as the first. Even though I knew how it was going to end I was still on the edge of my seat. Her characters are so well written you can't help but get pulled in and carried away. This book isn't just a great read but it also makes you think about life and people. This book moves me so much and the questions at the end are also very thought provoking.”britters wrote this review Friday, May 8, 2009. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“My favorite Francine Rivers book. A powerful re-telling following the story of Hosea. How heartwrenching to the heart of God, both the tragiedies of sin and our choices within the circumstances they bring about. A beautiful story of the unending, redeeming love of God. A MUST READ.”ryssmiles, sojourner wrote this review Sunday, August 5, 2007. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“ This was definitely worth pushing to the top of my list, as a few friends requested that I do so because they enjoyed the book so much. The story begins in 1835 introducing you to the character of Sarah. She was not wanted by her father and her mother died when she was young. She was sold into prostitution and very bitter about her life. One day she meets Michael and her life is never the same. He marries her and takes her away from this life, but she has a hard time trusting men and just doesn't understand why Michael keeps saying that he loves her. Michael shares his love of Christ with her, but she wants nothing to do with it. She continues to struggle with the kindness and love that Michael offers through himself and through Christ. It is a long road that she travels to come to the place she never thought she would be in finding the forgiveness of herself and others to move past the pain. For those of you who have not read this book, I would highly recommend it. It's another one of those stories that you just can't get enough of and you keep turning the pages unable to put the book down. If you don't have it on your list to read you should add it, and if it's on your list but a little further down I would move it up the list. You won't be disappointed, I promise.”PattyL wrote this review Saturday, August 4, 2007. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No

“I enjoy Francine River's writing style - she pulls me into her stories and I find myself unable to put her books down - Redeeming Love is no exception, and it's my favorite of her stories. Such a wonderful reminder of God's Redeeming Love for all.”leobambina wrote this review Thursday, August 2, 2007. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
