Thank you Lord for Francine Rivers. This woman has my utmost respect for the way she retells the stories that we already know. All stories that I had already judged Francine put into new perspective.

My Protestant Women of the Chapel book club is reading this book and meeting October 8th to discuss it. This is a great story of how God forgives and cleanses us from our stains.

I lost N350 to a bus conductor because I was reading this book on the bus, but the loss was ALMOST well worth it. I couldn't put the book down till I ended it! Rivers wrote what a lot of other Christians ignore or fear to acknowledge.

As someone who has met so many victims of sexual abuse, I know how destructive the experience can be on a woman's dignity. I felt the love of God through Michael's love for Sarah. The name changes showed different levels of growth, progress and regression in confidence until She could boldly use her REAL name.

This book is symbolic, and I feel for the real Hosea, he must have put up with a whole lot from his real wife. And funny enough the day i read the book we were treating hearing from God in church. It made understanding and believing in the audible voice of God that much easier. I love this book, it has done what it was meant to do- grow my faith.

Like the new cover. I have an older version. In fact, I may not have it on my shelf - I have lent it out so many times. I always remember this book when making a list of favorites. I opened it and couldn't put it down - read the whole thing in two days (begrudging that I had to sleep before finishing it!).
