“I thoroughly enjoyed Shana's Smoke Thief and blogged about the opening on my www.myspace.com/emilybryanromance blog about the craft of writing. Shana sets up her mythology with a detailed prologue and then goes for the gut when she introduces her heroine as an "ugly duckling" child. I ached for the child and cheered the independent "swan" she became.”
