Roman soldier, Marcellus, wins Christ's robe as a gambling prize. He then sets forth on a quest to find the truth about the Nazarene's robe-a quest that reaches to the very roots and heart of Christianity and is set against the vividly limned background of ancient Rome. Here is a timeless story of adventure, faith, and romance, a tale of spiritual longing and ultimate redemption.

“This is a must read. It really gets to the heart of Christianity; it brings life to Christ through the robe he wore that was carried by one of the soldiers who crucified Him. It's a journey for this soldier - from being so callous he could cast lots for the clothing of a man dying just above him to being so full of love for Jesus that he gives his own life in His Name.”

I think its perfect for someone who really doesn't understand what an impact Jesus made on not just the Jewish people but on everyone else like the Romans and the Greeks. I'd recommend it to anyone.”

His experiences as he discovers who the man Jesus really was brings a deeper meaning into his life. It isn't "light" reading but it makes you think about the ministry of Jesus Christ.”
