“Pretty good, I enjoyed reading about Roland as a young gunslinger. This is not my favorite Stephen King but I am compelled to finish the series and get to the damn tower.”Brooke R wrote this review Saturday, December 17, 2011. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“ Wizard and glass is a thrilling tale where Roland gets a blast in from the blast as Roland and his band of gunslingers (and Oy) travel off Blaine (is a paine and that is the truth) and cross Topeka, Kansas. The horrible sound of the Thinny squels and grumbles in the distance. Dead, mummfied people line the streets, including a small baby, toys and all, bottle next to him.
As they camp one night, Roland tells them of the epic tale of his youth, his start for the dark tower, and the lovly Susan. He also tells of the Big Coffin Hunters, in the time before Farson destroys the land.
This is a tale to end all and begin all, an edge-of-your-seater. A++, good for all who like the chilling with a twist of love and differnt worlds, ones beyond ours. Read for a thrill.”
“The Dark tower series is my favorite series of books I have ever read. This book continues the epic tail of Roland and his original group on their first quest. It is the perfect mix of many genres, action, mystery, romance, pretty much anything you could think of. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys Stephen King, or who wants to continue the epic series.”Michael cavanagh wrote this review Wednesday, December 7, 2011. “This book will serve as the book upon which every other book I ever read from here on out will be compared against when an author tries to describe character history. Stellar writing! ”Kevin Leitzel wrote this review Tuesday, November 29, 2011. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“The first time I read through the Dark Tower series this book seemed like a weird detour that bogged down a little bit. This time, I actually really liked it. I found the love story very touching and I got lost for a while in the world of Roland's past.”Greg H wrote this review Tuesday, November 29, 2011. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful?
