King is a genius, and I don't think that's an overstatement. How a person can come up with as many stories as he has, pumping out books left and right, is amazing. A true artist is what he is.
The Dark Tower series is long, and it's taken me quite a while to get this far, but it's become almost an addiction. I have to know how the story ends, what happens to Roland, and learn the tales that I've only been given tidbits of throughout. King is so good at making you pay attention. I'm...

Wizard and Glass is the lull at the center of the Dark Tower series. It concludes the Blaine the Mono episode (one of my favorite in the series), then tells the story of Roland's adventures at age 14 in the Barony of Meijis and, of course, his relationship with Susan Delgado.

There are moments in this book that I thought were wonderfully written — "broken hearts heal" — and very true to a romantic story. In some ways, the love story in Wizard and Glass is a precursor of...
