Utopia

by Lincoln Child

It takes a lot of chutzpah to give your novel the same title as one of the most famous novels in the history of English-language literature, even if the original novel didn't spawn a literary field or two (utopian and dystopian fiction) or become an everyday term for the perfect place to live on Earth. This book is extremely intriguing. The setting is amazing, the plot is fresh, and the characters are worth caring about. I love this book!

Had to make multiple attempts to finish this one. Not entirely sold that it was worth the effort because I really HATED it for a long time.

Ingenius bad guy terrorist and computer engineer wrestle over control of the grandest amusement park ever created. The realms of the park are created by holograms and videos and robots rule. A good read.

Great book, I will definitely read more by this author. The book picks up the pace as it proceeds, like a good roller coaster. The ending is very creative and clever. At first you think the resolution will be easy because there are two possibilities, then both possibilities fail and so it appears there will be no resolution, and then ... well I don't want to give it away, but Child has written an excellent thriller/mystery novel.
