Didn’t Like It“Thank God that's over. I won't say too much about this book except that at one point there is a plot point that involves a planet that has a theme park, and in this theme park there is an area themed after Arrakis, and in that themed area there is an audio-animatronic sandworm. I won't say too much about this book except that at one point there is a plot point that involves a planet that has a theme park, and in this theme park there is an area themed after Arrakis, and in that themed area there is an audio-animatronic sandworm. That image pretty much sums up this series. The biggest problem with prequels is that you know how everything should end up, but this book has a much messier ending than you would expect.”

It's really no different in style from the previous two books; maybe a bit more shrift, but that's a good thing in this book. The House Trilogy could've just been one long book. I enjoyed them all. This one definitely bridges a lot of the lore into the next book which is the original Dune. If you enjoyed the previous two House books, you might as well finish this last one. ”

Yes | No“i just finished this one. of course the books by the son don't come close to those of frank herbert. it's great reading, however, for the depth of the world it describes and the many characters, and the epic battle of good against evil. sometimes i felt that the evil was too graphic for my tastes, with the violence and sad0-masochism of the harkonnens being a real turn-off. the fremen are cool though. ”

After so many new titles, they have all run together in my mind, but I do know that loved everyone of the new B. Herbert/Anderson books in the Dune franchise.”
