Loved this book! Of course, my mood was just write for the read. Julia's insights to her experiences are very poignent. The alternate running story from the Apoycria (sic) works very well.

I found this story very middle-of-the-road. it lacked depth and emotion, and the attempted parallel with the biblical story was not engaging. I was interested in the outcome, but I found it irritating to read because of the lack of flow, abrupt conflict resolution, and alternating between the actual story and an existing bible story.. the characters were also very one-dimensional, which is why I'm surprised I manged to finish it.
