Wow! I couldn't put this one down! What begins as a woman's determination to be with her husband quickly turns to determination to avenge and fight for the Confederacy. Disguised as a man, she quickly surpasses her husband in everything we call being manly. I felt like she "got hooked" on the power and privilege which manhood brought her. Not your typical novel!
