  • Kasuba Chama Mwenso: This is her story. She takes us on a journey of love, of friendship, of betraya, of lossl. A journey of mixed emotions, of laughter, of tears. anger, disappointment and confusion.
  • Dianne Tembo: She is Kasuba's best friend and finds herself entangled in a web that she doesn't know how to get out of as she finds herself the outsider of a love triangle that leaves a trail of broken hearts and broken relationships in its wake.
  • Bana Chama: Kasuba's aunt, who she refers to as her Mother. She is strong, wise and full of love. She is the rock that holds Kasuba together when her world comes crashing under her.
  • Sam Mwenso: Tall and handsome, he quickly sweeps Kasuba off her feet. He is everything she ever wanted, loving, gentle and a great cook too. He is also the man who helps her world come crashing as his dark secret unfolds right in front of Kasuba's eyes.
  • Jack Tembo: Gorgeous, tall, well cultured. He is Sam's best friend and confidant, the man Kasuba runs to in search of answers to Sam's dark world.
  • Luke Chama Mwenso: Kasuba's son.
  • Paul Mwenso: Sam's distinguished father, a former vice president, he exudes power and wisdom yet at the same time warmth. He is the man who is for Kasuba in the midst of the chaos.
  • Chama Chama: Kasuba's beloved brother.
  • Mumbi Chama: Kasuba's young sister.
  • Timothy Mwenso: Sam's brother and Dianne's teenage boyfriend. He plays a big part in the teenage incident that nearly destroys Dianne and Kasuba's friendship.
  • Max: Kasuba's taxi driver, a man she fondly thinks of as her guardian angel and the man who fills her heart with terror with his stories, mostly made up for his own entertainment. He looks out for Kasuba.
  • Mr Chama: Kasuba's father. A distant yet loving father.
  • Ba Kunda: Kasuba's step mother, Mumbi's mother.
  • Chipo Hachundu: Kasuba's gloriously beautiful friend. Kasuba rediscovers the joys of laughter, the warmth of friendship when she meets her.
