The Shapeshifting, antediluvian giant Ketzkahtel has somehow returned from his death in "Mythical: Heart of Stone". The giant is once more killing civiliians and eating their hearts to steal their lifeforce.

Colonel Mark Kenslir and his new assistant Josie Winters journey back to Arizona once more to try and track down the shapeshifter. There they meet FBI postcog Victor Hornbeck and his handler, Special Agent Pam Keegan.

The small group eventually find themselves in an underground, antediluvian structure where Ketzkahtel's twin brother was buried millenia ago. But they are too late and the shapshifter resurrects his brother.

Army helicopters arrive and defeat the giants, and their bodies are loaded on transports to be flown back to Miami for study. Enroute, the giants re-awaken and kill the crew of the transport plane and escape.

Back in Miami, Colonel Kenslir oversees the creation of two new Stone Soldiers, and their training. His plan is to rebuild his team of supersoldiers and hunt the shapeshifters again.

Things go wrong though when the shapeshifters attack Kenslir's headquarters.
